Nancy's Gallery
I started taking classes at a local community centre in 2000, while enrolled in graduate studies, and have been working with clay ever since. First as a student at the community centre and then as a member of Aberthau Potters' Club in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Starting a studio has always been a dream of mine; however, I envisioned this may only happen into my retirement. The pandemic really turned everything upside down (and on it's head) but I did manage to find a silver lining and carve time to make pottery.

Below is a gallery of the different design styles I enjoy making from hand building to throwing on the wheel as well as different surface decorations. I enjoying making functional ware; specifically ceramics that you may use on a daily basis. I also enjoy making one of a kind items. Each item is hand made and likely touched 20+ times from start to finish.

Pencil Sketch was created late last year in a weekly class. The artist took it home — but we think it belongs in a museum. The Pencil Sketch project was a huge accomplishment of one of our artists and we are so pleased that Sammy Jones created such a beautiful example. Want to find out more? Get in touch with us today.

Carving
Mixed Media Diorama shows us that you don’t need to be a seasoned artist to create something amazing. We loved working on this Mixed Media Diorama project with Terry Smalls. This specific project gave us a chance to really shine bright, and impress our artists with all of our dedication. We did just that. Find out more about this process by contacting us today.

Underglaze Design Work
We love to collaborate at Fiori Ceramics. This Still Life Painting was a project created by several of our students and instructors. We’re especially proud of our teamwork on the Still Life Painting project. Our artists and staff crafted a winning and creative approach to accomplishing all of their artistic goals.
